KLIA - LCCT

i survived the 6hours camp at KL international airport well and good! apart from freaking out about being alone, it wasnt all that bad afterall. the troopers were kind enough to hang out till 1am. hur hur. my whining had an effect on them somehow, subconsciously or not. and papa jerry did his usual daddying. made sure i had everything in check, that my pockets were full with cash.

i cant wait to get the photos up and loaded. i must say im rather impressed with KL's wifi services almost anyeverywhere. haha. i'm so hoping laos is like that too, despite the obvious. a little hope wouldnt kill, really. i dont think i've ever flew out from KL before. hur hur. this is gonna get reallllly interesting.

camp KLIA was strangely ok. i moved over to the couch once the guys left. i had to find my powerpoint to feed my boredom. ah, the wonders of technology. good choice gloria, smart move that you brought the lenovo too.

i was fighting hard not to sleep. i had heaps to check out on, i havent even booked for accomodation yet! i aint really looking forward to 'KL hotel scout' part2. not that it wasnt fun lugging huge bags ard with jiawen, getting turned down at every door. it was! honestly! but doing it alone in laos? with me having to carry my own 11kg backpack? not that it is the heaviest thing in the world. but its way better without. hehe. and no, jiawen, im not taking you for granted! haha. i just bullied you with my extra baggage, thats all. ;) i cant put myself through that again. i dont have anyone to be distracted with. with random 70% sales, sweet corn, sweet looking hotel lobbies, massage breaks. nooooo.............

Sunand, as usual, acted as my verbal google. i just had to ask and i'd get an answer. haha. i like that. and wherever he checked out the info of laos being the perfect place for people to meet, that made me feel a trillion times better. i'm still hating myself for not bringing a bible along. im hoping the bible version i downloaded works well. urgh :(

thank God the guys called to wake me at 520am. i figured i was a tad early, since the info counter people did say the first bus was at 6am. i washed up, grabbed breakfast and headed off even though every cell in my body was screaming otherwise. my neck ached, my back was feeling crummy, and my tummy was feeling sore from hugging the laptop the entire night after i shoved it under my jacket, just in case. now i know how it feels hugging your rifle to sleep. to protect it with your life. i could almost equate myself to them. minus the grass and bugs, and the basha tent. and the sweat and smell, from both you and your buddy. minus the sore legs and aching blistered feet. seee seee.. it does come somewhat close afterall.

so i got onto the bus and hell man, this bus was the typical sort you'd find in india. i aint being racist. i think i was the only chinese on the bus. they were even blasting hindi pop over the speakers. gah. and the dude beside me was using my shoulder ever so comfortably. i so swear he drooled all over. gross. but it hit me. the simplicities of life, really. and how much we take for granted in singapore. trips like that almost make me feel that life back home is way better and much more to be appreciated. i watched as the street lamps, lamp after lamp, zoomed by. we went past the runway and straight to the low cost carrier airport. a gorgeous sight. apart from the gaudy hindi pop, the overwhelming mix of coconut oil and indian armpits, a squeezy(like hell) bus, it was peaceful. somehow. someway or another. the alluring lights from the runway. staring out into nothingness, with no one to distract me at all.

i cant wait for laos. i know it'll be good. i can feel the vibes though eugene would scream otherwise. people are starting to get up. the gates are opening! embrace my solitude, i shall! please God, let wifi be easily accesible in laos. me mocking jiawen about coffee bean cannot wait a week! haha!
