pull yourself up and try again

that seemed like the unspoken unofficial motto for my windsurfing camp. to me at least. nothing beats you down like windsurfing. the number of times when you actually thought you had it, you'd just end up falling back into the waters. darn it. hate the familiarity of it. how it uncannily resembles what life is all about.

apart from the emo-ness, camp wasnt all that bad.

i had quite a lot of time to the surfboards. so that was good. actually managed to move! compared to what id accomplished 3 years ago, that was quite a huge feat! hur hur. fun. i likee. even managed to sail off with the 5.5m2 sails. yayy go glor go!

everyone was so dead. so i had to do something aye. i mean, glor in a camp doesnt equate awkward silences. hur hur. i can barely keep track of the countless 'oh my goodness' looks glen chan and butterboy threw at me. especially over the bbq. hahah. was fun. i had my army of firestarter boys while the girls seemed to perpetually revolve around tim.

which brings me to another point.

i liked the exclusivity he gave. like how i got to sleep in the OGL's room and tiny bits like that. but when he became so "oh hail mighty celeste", it got rather irritating. especially on the last day where we were pretty much stuck at NSC due to the roadblock thing. so tim celeste and i went out to sail again. it was so weird. i felt it, they probably didnt. the negligence made me feel like a farking piece of drift wood. haha! like celeste would drift away and tim would sail to her. id end up crashing into some rocks or something without a soul noticing.

i even had to find my own source of entertainment. i trudged throw the sticky seabed and near the algae infested slope to check out what this fisherman uncle dude was doing with his nets and stuff. and that ended up with me slipping and falling face flat whilst screaming, hellooOOOOOO whooaaaa...unnCCCLLlLLLLLEeeeeeee....splat.

something like that, you'd get the idea.

i mean, its normal i guess. where you'd meet someone new in a camp. thats fine. but when it comes to a situation where the circumstances literally advocate and scream out that 3s a crowd, dont push it further! it was way awkward! if i were a guniang girlie girl, id really wonder whether he'll leave me with the boards to carry down on my own like he did. hah. weirddd. im so glad its over.

owell.

im hoping they'd live happily ever after.

anyhoo, bonding games were rather funny on the first day. though everyone seemed plagued with an epic disease of sianess, it didnt go on too bad. the pickup line game thing was funny.

then an entire day of windsurfing on the second. and bbq late into the night. it was fun. and for once, i wasnt a part of the whole drinking group thing. haha! amazing. but i hated how the camp divided itself into 2. into the drinking vs the nondrinkers. stupid. glen suggested we played 'i've never' to get to know everyone better. in my history of i've never, its only been filled with chai's absolutely absurd sexual encounters, or the mighty discovery of my alcoholic family one fateful night at wala 2 years ago. haha. so hearing statements like, "i've never read a harry potter book in my life" was truly refreshing. haha!

camp lacked photos big time. i so need an indispensible photowhoring partner. though fiona germaine and kristel did bear those photowhoring traits, camp was still way too short of photos! hah! id be posting it all up soon enough.

like i said, this was probably the only photo decent enough in my stash to post. a pity. but heyhey, my firestarter boys ;)
