bird and cat: OUT!
what?!
i know. same damn reaction i had. my mom is ridiculous. i am convinced that all mothers had to attend a "nag-a-day" course before they become mothers. i hope i'd never turn out like her. although many would beg to differ. that your parents' style of upbringing would influence your style of bringing up your kids in the future, conscious or subconsciously, whether we like it or not.
i think this week had been rather peaceful. maybe its due to the sudden absence at home. that my mom only got back to singapore on tues, that i wasnt home the past few nights. well, seems like it. coming home at 3am from christines on tues makes it seem as if i wasnt home all night. (another warped definition from my mother; another point that makes me darn certain that she learnt that from 'nag-a-day' sch too) stayed over at her place again on wed, came back home past 12 on thurs after supper with yyong and returning at 5am last night, well, this morning from christine/bens/lances place for our supopsedly surprise AHA attack on the boyfriends. so yup, id subscribe to the idea that my mother has been feeling the brunt of my MIAness and she just had to get it out of her system. apparently "nag-a-day" teaches you to hold in all urges of lashing out at your kid, only to release at a later date. thats like "nag-a-day" intermediate level aka "yell-a-day". it trains you to retain all forms of emotion in preparation for a spring surprise attack on your seemingly harmless victim on, well, say, a bright sunny saturday afternoon when victim 001 is sitting innocently infront of the computer. then...
"ADUGEN!"
bish. victim 001's life meter drops by half.
with that accomplished, she can safely say that she has accquired the Ryu inspired "yell-a-day" skill, custom designed for busy weekend parents.
sigh.
anyway, back to the point.
i merely asked for the car to go pick some birdie stuff with christine and she unreasonably hammers me with the ultimate killer statement: i want to throw the bird and cat out!
like what!!?!
i thought i only had to deal with issues like these when i was younger, when i had no say, or didnt know what to say, in defence to her random throw-animals-out syndrome. i remmebered when i was younger and she suddenly decided that the cat has to go, i frantically hid the cat under the bed, climbed atop and cried and cried with all hopes to distract her. stupid cat climbed out, obviously. sigh. and there goes my beloved pet.
so, needless to say, when you mention something like bird and cat out, all traumatising memories of her throwing my animals out gushes back into my head. apparently they had some NEW tenancy agreement that no birds and cats were allowed in here. like what rubbish. who ever writes a tenancy agreement that states clearly no birds NOR cats are allowed. ridiculous. so i can keep a dog, horse, elephant la. but bird and cat cannot. coz cats got allergens in their fur and birds go tweetweet. what rubbish.
no way are you laying your grubby fingers on my darlings. theres absolutely no possibility of you doing what youve done over and over and over again to me ever. touch them and id physically take you apart, set your hair on fire and ask birdbird to peck your brains out. i will, dont you dare daunt me. i will..
