Raindrops keep falling..
i have to say the rain's getting to me. i've just spent the past two hours strumming away on the guit and banging on the piano, well, literally. it's been a long time since i've had my share of time with God. and i remembered all the times i did have. and it made me wonder, why do people cry? why do we cry? why were we designed so intricatly with the ability to shed tears? Esp when in prayer or being prayed for in times when we are down and out? sheer guilt? desire of repentence?
well, of couse, u can state the physical elements of it, but to me, here's why...
1) Like in Isaiah 64:8, We are the clay and God is our potter. When we become too harden or when we harden ourselves, our hearts, how can we be softened? By adding water, aka tears!
2) When our vision gets affected or blurry even, how do regain comfort? We use eye drops or just plain washing right? Well God has designed us in such a way that we have natural eye drops to remove impurities and also clear our vision such that we can see clearly again. to be able to fix our eyes on him once again.
3) Like rain to a dry or barren land. Rainwater can bring life back to the land. Like rain, after crying and an encounter with God, we can be refreshed and brought back to life.
maybe thats why they call it a spiritual drought. maybe that's God speaking to me through zac's blog. well, maybe, just maybe, i need to encounted God once again. its a refreshing experience, yahyah, like coming out of the shower, but more importantly, it's pretty addictive, u've got to try it! ;)
