Biennale 2006

so after seeing a tad too many museums when i was in europe, i really had to find out what the biennale had to offer. i mean, its SINGAPORE in ACTION man. gotta see some local smart ass moves here and there. not that im an anti-local artwork kinda person. im in fact, the very opposite of it. but is hardly my fault to allow that skepticism to arise. i mean, who knows right. really. biennale 2006? an international event in singapore. well, we'll see.

since ben finished guard duty at 8 in the morning, he met me for breakfast and actually came to church with me! amazing! :D thank God the speaker was excellent. this lawyer cum pastor who works with the prison ministry. it was like yellow ribbon day or something liek that. it was good. things just worked out somehow.

was late meeting the rest at cityhall so by the time i got there, they were pretty much done. since equan and eva basically browsed through the entire cityhall bit, i had company while we waited for lionel kevin and jay to come out. they had some really neat merchandise on sale. and the shopping devil that i am went a little crazy. i mean, that devil has been surpressed for oh too long. i havent even shopped ever since jane went back! that was end july! i was having some badass withdrawal symtoms. really. haha!

we got down to tanglin camp after. that was pretty cool. the place that is. i didnt even get half the exhibits there. i know the guide book that came along with it is helpful, but they should have elaborated more at the place itself. they did too much video bits it actually got a little boring. even the lourve now seemed more interesting. staring at half naked pudgy 18thcentury women now seemed much more enticing than the warped videos i was staring at. especially the brainless parody of the sexothon woman. whatever her name was. bahh.

and i didnt even get to play with the leap of faith magnet thingy. darn it.

i mean, it was good. just not MY kind of good. i expected more. hopefully its only because its tanglin camp. the old MOs camp. the video infested place. the rest had better be good. rah.
