tunnel 1, tunnel 2, tunnel 3..where's 4?

the tunnels today were so so cool. and it was actually kinda creepy. u guys should try it. its quite an experience. haha.

we got to labrador to get the logistics done. and i thought we were doing a food tasting session! but ended up with an event that i was co-heading. very quick i must say. i was there to entertain guests, not eat.. :(

there were 3 of us, and jo's in charge. shes so panicky it got so annoying. hate people who get uptight about work. i mean, relax babe..its gonna be over in a couple of hours. and the more nervous u are, the more ure gonna screw up. so there.

maybe when the day comes that id have to head my own event, id be as panicky as her. but when till that day, id say, chill brother.. life goes on..

kio's a really fun girl to be with. shes a year older, and she strangely finds me familiar. ive never met her thats for sure. even the waitress at the olive found me familiar too. how strange. but at least the waitress' from ngee ann. so thats a different story altogether.

we went up the tunnels, and kio was my guide. we were in tunnel 1 with four chambers. kinda cool. the first was the usual exhibition kind. not that great. but the fact that all they added in was a bity bit of technology and airconditioning, everything else was preserved in its exact condition. so it was pretty wowing. for me at least.

the second was the AV video room. the benches were built on huge concrete slabs that used to hold up the gas tanks. next came the wax figures. and lastly, the scary scary room. the 4th chamber was slightly different from the rest. with barely any lights, and extra sound effects, nothing else was changed. it was recently discovered, like a couple of months back so its still a really new exhibit. it had a dead dark path down the tunnel that got even narrower when u get deeper. then till the end, comes 3 extra rooms. which we didnt dare go in, coz the lights were down, and the ruins were preserved so everythings kinda still in original shape. and it was scary. we kept hearing someone talk. like at random times. NOT FUNNY. both of us looked at each other and dashed all the way out. haha. ended up in fits of laughter anyway. so that was good fun after all. haha.

jo was getting logistics done for the secretarial lunch at 12. kio and i on the other hand was exploring labrador park. she was showing me tunnel 2 and 3. and telling me that tunnel 4 hasnt been discovered. and it is the longest tunnel coz it leads to fort siloso. that means it goes underwater. so cool! secret tunnel aye! i likee i likee..

so there we had..a lunchful of secretaries. haha. not all were ladies though, even some MDs came. so it was pretty fun. but i kinda hate small talking. its so superficial. but necessary i guess.

the restaurant's setting's awesome. so pretty!! so jungle like..and the food...ahh..need i say more? haha..

we had to hitch a ride back on Uncle John's trolley. met 5 angmoh old ladies. so sweet. they were touring together. they're like neighbours from the same village. so cute. haha.

swimming got cancelled at night. kinda sad coz i miss teaching swimming already. albert told me to take a break and rest since the kids are having exams anyway. hope my request for a 5 day work week gets through. picked ben up from training and sent him back home to shower. im his ahmad, really. haha. went to balestier for bak ku teh. not all that fantastic. most of my bak ku teh went to the stray cats. haha. sent him to ashley's party before heading back home and collapsed on my bed. what a day..
